About Me

Being a refugee from a remote island in Vietnam, I was illiterate until I was eleven years old. I still remember the first time I was able to print my full name. My family was gathered around me, and my parents and older siblings were so proud of me. They commended me for my straight strokes and crisp letters. Henceforth, literacy has been my passion.

I have taught intervention to Advanced Placement (AP) classes in English and Social Science at the secondary level. In addition to being a teacher, I have been a class advisor, club advisor, curriculum coach, TSA, and badminton coach.

As an economist, I try to earn a compound return over time. I am passionate about closing the achievement gap because doing so will allow my students to reap the greatest return over the longest period of time.
