About Me

Mr. Dirlam is the Director of Bands and Choir at Torres and is excited to bring his passion for music to Madera. Mr. Dirlam, a Fresno State graduate, was Director of Bands for Firebaugh High School for 8 years where he created a program from scratch and now has multiple students at Fresno State as music majors. He has sung in a show for Disney and Star Wars in Concert, toured as a timpanist for Jackie Evancho, and has played drum set in many musicals. His favorite place to travel is Disneyland and is inspired by the music of John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and Michael Giacchino. Mr. Dirlam is looking forward to creating a tradition of excellence in music for the students of the Torres Music program.
